Welcome to Ants homepage. I am a director of the Porsche Club of Great Britain an enthusiasts club for those people who like the Porsche Marque. I am an IT professional with over 13 years experience of Internet development, Microsoft SQL server, Windows NT, 2000, 2003, 2008 and design and delivery of computing skill courses. Technical lead on design and development projects, project management, technical training, support and administration.. I have worked in large organisations and small, in teams of 20 and on my own. My IT interests lie in Databases, and there interaction with the Web browser. in the past....I currently work as a Database Manager with my role falls into three main categories; database administration, Advice/guidance to the development teams and deployment. I have also been a Self employed Contractor working within an international human resources consultancy, a Director and Technical Lead, Web Application Development & Databases, an IT Projects co-ordinator and spent some time as a Technical Specialist at a Microsoft Certified Support Centre I was once the Microcomputer Support Officer in the Department of Biomedical Sciences at the University of Aberdeen. Here is where I learnt the most valuable of IT professional lessons - that you should never believe what a user says. Before that, I was a Doctor at the Aberdeen Royal Infirmary where I occasionally read the British Medical Journal. Before getting an MB ChB (Dr's qualification), I obtained a BSc(Med Sci) in Physiology at Aberdeen University.
